Born and raised in Bedford County, I attended Shelbyville Central High School, Motlow State Community College and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1978. I have been an employee of the Bedford County Highway Department for over 30 years, having served as Road Superintendent for the past eight. I am also Solid Waste Director for Bedford County and currently serve on the Financial Management Committee.

I am married to the former Darlene Cook and have two daughters, Brooke and Blair. I currently attend Calvary Baptist Church where I teach an adult Sunday School class and serve on the budget and finance committee.

Being Road Superintendent of Bedford County, I am responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. As Solid Waste Director, my duties include the day to day operations of our eight convenience centers throughout the county.

It has been my privilege to serve as Road Superintendent and I look forward to the challenges ahead. With the continued growth that all middle Tennessee counties are experiencing, my primary goal is to continue to make our roads and bridges “better and safer” for all motorists.
