Bedford County was Established Dec.31,1807 |
|
Some records are permanent and are preserved, while other records can be
destroyed after a number of years.
In March of 1863 Confederate soldiers made a fire to keep warm, but it
spread to engulf the old courthouse and destroy most of the records.
